About Inventory Ready
Built from 50 Products of Real Experience
Greg Huang founded Inventory Ready after launching his first consumer brand in the dietary supplement and nutrition industry in summer 2009. He has founded and operated multiple brands since then, bringing more than 50 products to market across capsules, tablets, powders, and softgels. Most of what he learned came the hard way: finding the right manufacturer for a given form factor and budget, reading a Certificate of Analysis well enough to know whether to trust it, separating credible certifications from marketing labels, and closing the gap between what a manufacturer promises and what a quality agreement actually requires.
The hardest part of that journey was always the same. Finding a manufacturer you can trust. There was no independent resource for evaluating contract manufacturers. You relied on trade show conversations, word of mouth, or directories where the manufacturer with the biggest budget got the top listing. Whether that manufacturer was actually good at what they did was a separate question entirely.
Across each brand, Greg built up his own internal reference systems: manufacturer notes, spreadsheets, evaluation rubrics, and document templates. The same questions should not have to be answered from scratch every time. Inventory Ready is that personal knowledge system, formalized and shared. It is the platform Greg wished he had at the start of his first company in 2009, and the resource he kept finding himself recreating for founders inside other nutrition brands and for operators in adjacent industries who were considering starting one of their own.

Greg Huang
Founder
Founder of Inventory Ready. Previously founded and operated multiple consumer brands in the dietary supplement and nutrition industry since summer 2009. Greg handles every inquiry personally and manages Inventory Ready's editorial standards and assessment process.
What Makes This Different
Most manufacturer directories in the supplement space are pay-to-play listings or manufacturer-funded portals. The companies that pay the most get the most visibility, regardless of quality. When you search for a contract manufacturer, you have no way to know whether a directory listing reflects genuine assessment or advertising spend.
Inventory Ready is different. We assess manufacturers using a published method with six evaluation gates. Every assessment follows the same framework. Every material connection is disclosed. When we can't assess something, we say so explicitly. That last part matters most.
Every manufacturer profile includes a “Limitations” section listing exactly what we could not confirm. No other directory does this. We believe what you don't know about a manufacturer is just as important as what you do.
Our Assessment Method
Every manufacturer in our directory goes through the same six-gate evaluation: Evidence, Freshness, Provenance, Challenge, Disclosure, and Abstention. We don't hide behind vague “quality scores” or undisclosed criteria. If you want to know exactly how we evaluate manufacturers, the entire method is published.
How We Work
Technical content is developed with Dr. James Pendleton, ND's expertise and reviewed for accuracy. Every inquiry is handled personally by Greg Huang. We use AI tools to assist research and content production, and we disclose it, because transparency is how this industry gets better. Our method, criteria, and limitations are published in full.
Editorial Independence
Transparency about revenue is just as important as transparency about method. Our assessment criteria are never influenced by whether a manufacturer pays for enhanced directory features. Assessment and revenue are separate systems, and assessment criteria are never influenced by commercial relationships.
A note on language: We use the word “assessed” throughout this site, never “verified.” Assessment means we've applied our method to publicly available information. It does not mean we have audited, certified, or guaranteed any manufacturer's operations. See our Terms of Service for details.
