Good Manufacturing Practice for the therapeutic products a Swissmedic establishment licence covers (MEDICINAL products and active substances; some licences cover transplant products or medicated feed) at a Swiss site. Swissmedic's SwissGMDP database lists every valid establishment licence holder and its sites, with each site's licensed activities, GMP or GDP status, date of last inspection and electronic certificate.
What It Proves
Swissmedic lists the site as holding a valid establishment licence and records its GMP compliance status, its last inspection date and the medicinal-product activities and dosage forms the licence covers.
What It Does Not Prove
Scope is the licensed therapeutic-product activities (drugs and active pharmaceutical ingredients; under some licences transplant products or medicated feed), NOT dietary supplements: it does not certify the site's supplement or food lines, and it is not FDA registration or FDA approval. The listed activities and dosage forms bound it; a form outside them is not covered. SwissGMDP shows no expiry date, so currency is read from the compliance status and the last inspection date.
