cRc Kosher (Chicago Rabbinical Council)
Issued by Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc)
CertificationAudit Scope
Rabbinic supervision of ingredient sourcing, equipment, facility, and production for kosher compliance. Periodic on-site inspections. One of the 'Big Five' U.S. kosher certifying agencies, with longstanding supplement-industry presence.
What It Proves
cRc rabbinic authority confirms ingredients, equipment, and process meet cRc kashrut standards. Certification verifiable via cRc's public database for companies, products, and ingredients.
What It Does Not Prove
Does NOT mean the product is halal, vegan, organic, or gluten-free — separate certifications required. Different kosher agencies (OU, OK, Star-K, Kof-K, cRc) have slightly different standards and are not always interchangeable in specific dietary contexts. 'Kosher' alone (without an agency mark) is unverifiable.
