Asahi Group Foods, Ltd. is a Japanese food and health ingredients company and a subsidiary of Asahi Group Holdings, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company produces functional ingredients derived from decades of fermented milk research, including AmealPeptide (lactotripeptide for cardiovascular support, FDA GRAS) and CP2305 (Lactobacillus gasseri CP2305 postbiotic for stress, mood, and sleep support). CP2305 is exclusively distributed in the US by ADM under a February 2025 agreement. Other branded ingredients are distributed in the US through Maypro Industries. In 2025, Asahi Group acquired Leiber GmbH (German brewers' yeast refiner) and Asahi Meguro Institute to strengthen its lactic acid bacteria capabilities.
