Overview
Indena is an Italian company dedicated to the identification, development, and production of high-quality active principles derived from plants for the pharmaceutical and health food industries. Founded in 1921 and headquartered in Milan, Indena operates four production sites and five international branches, managing sales in more than 80 countries. Their proprietary Phytosome delivery system improves the bioavailability and effectiveness of botanical extracts, documented in published research. Indena holds more than 100 patents and produces standardized botanical extracts including curcumin, milk thistle (silymarin), green tea, grape seed, ginkgo, and boswellia, among others. Approximately 90% of turnover comes from international markets.
